Tacoma’s Top Three Parks

In this article we share a few of favorite Tacoma Parks.

Point Defiance - Best Tacoma Parks

Point Defiance Park:

Ok so this one might be a no brainer, but Point Defiance has it all! We like it because there are a ton of trails to walk or run, and you’re welcome to bring your pup. There is a beach, with a cool boardwalk to the boathouse and Anthony’s restaurant. If you want to dive through the 5 loop and get to the lookouts, make sure that you get there well before 2pm. The gate is closed after 2 to make more time for pedestrians and bicyclists. There’s a zoo and aquarium, and all of this space makes it the second biggest city park in the states (after Central Park)! There’s also a dog park for your pup to enjoy as well!

Titlow Park:

Titlow is the younger sister of Point Defiance. It’s one of Tacoma’s best places to watch sunset on the dock, or get your bridge views if you head down the beach to the locally called “secret beach.” There are trails to walk through and a kids play park to bring your littles. You can also rent out the gorgeous lodge for events, or play a game of tennis at the courts.

Wright Park:

Wright Park is a beautiful, centrally located park, complete with adorable conservatory on the upper side. It doesn’t boast the size of Point Defiance, but it does still have trails to walk around or through the park, a kids play area, and a bocce ball court! Grab a coffee at Cosmonaut and don’t miss the pond with a bridge over it for some Instagram pics.
